Here’s an overview Santa Ana's residential parking permits:
Single-family homes: Up to 3 resident permits + 75 guest permits per year.
Multi-family (2–4 units): 1 resident permit per unit; no guest permits.
Requirements: Valid driver’s license, proof of address, and vehicle registration (or lease if leased).
Details:
Permits expire every 2 years and must be renewed by residents.
Each permit is tied to a specific vehicle and must be returned when the vehicle is sold.
Resident permits must be displayed on the rear bumper or rear window.
Guest permits (single-family only) are one-day use and valid until noon the next day.
Cost: $89 per resident permit (up to 2 years).
Applies to: Street parking, including holidays.
Residents apply through the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency (M-43).
